Oh my god!

I want this shirt so much http://store.delias.com/item.do?categoryID=&itemID=51026# It's ridiculous. (I tried to make this a link but I couldn't :( but highlight and paste it, it's worth it!)

My mom and I made cheese fondue today. Even though I used the correct amount of wine it tasted so much like wine that I could only have a couple of dips (I don't know, I guess that's what you would say for portions of fondue.)

I started my graduate class last week. It's post-modern world literature (which, as someone in that class pointed out, sounds very impressive). It's also depressingly expensive for one graduate class. I think it seems worse for me because all through college I had Florida pre-paid and financial aide so I never had to pay for all of my classes. But I am really excited to be in this class. It also makes me feel better about myself, because if I wasn't in this class and I was just working part time at Barnes and Noble and living with my parents I would be kind of depressed, but IF I am also in school (even just one class) at least I feel like I am working towards something.

Also I am planning a trip to Washington D.C. and the surrounding area. Natan and I will be going in May, so if anyone has suggestions of fun places to visit let me know.

St. Augustine and Savannah

After Christmas my mom, my sister and I drove up to St. Augustine and then from there to Savannah. I had never been to either city so I was really excited. We got to St. Augustine early Saturday morning and first we drove to the lighthouse. We decided not to go up to the top because a. it was expensive b. my mom is afraid of heights and c. Natan has keys to the lighthouse in Miami so I theoretically could go up there whenever we wanted. We had lunch in a nice park and then headed to the Castillo de San Marcos. Luckily it wasn't too crowed yet and we got there in time to see them shoot the cannon.

We decided to take the tourist trolley around town, we got off at a couple of stops but unfortunatly everything was pretty expensive. We did go to the Presbatarian church that Henry Flager built. It was by far on of the nicest churches I've ever been too. It made me want to go to church, which I don't generally like. I liked it because it was very simple yet very beautiful.

We went downtown to the shops but it was ridiculously crowded. That night we had delicious Mexican food and sangria at this restaurant right across from the Castillo. That night uptown Savannah shops were open late so we went to that. The next morning we went to Fort Mantanzas. We got to the park at around 9:35 and saw that the first boat went out at 9:30 and the next one wasn't until 10:30. Thankfully the boat had just left nd turned around for us. The Fort was great, it wasn't too crowded and really beautiful and we saw dolphins!

We drove up to Savannah that day. After we checked into our hotel we went to a sports bar
because the one request my sister had was to be able to watch the Dolphin game. The next day we walked to Forsythe park, which has the largest fountain in the state. Savannah was beautiful and there are squares everywhere with monuments in them. We went to two different historical homes but unfortunately we left after that because there was a huge power outage downtown. There was an underground fire and all of downtown and riverwalk was closed because they had no power.
